A Hilarious Memory

Yesterday I was at home, filling up my album with old photos in the living room when I came across a photo of my family and I that was taken at a beach. After a few minutes, I recognized the picture. That picture was taken at Tanjung Bungah Beach in Penang. My family and I were holidaying there for a fortnight.

I smiled as I remembered the fun we all had. My heart tickled when I remembered my little brother’s leg was tangled with seaweed when he went for a swim in the sea. At that time, I was collecting beautiful seashells with my beloved parents. He yelled as loud as the thunder thinking that a monster was trying to catch him as its dinner. He struggled wildly and kicked viciously. I thought practically everyone at the beach heard my brother shouting for help. He had such a loud voice. My family roared with laughter as we watched him. My brother stopped struggling when he was exhausted. He looked at us and felt indignant. He slowly put his head in the cool salty water and saw the seaweed. Needles to say, he was quite embarrassed. He untangled the slimy seaweed then he quickly waded out of the water. He kept his head down as he walked towards us. My mother tried to not to laugh loudly as she gave him a clean towel to rub himself.

My whole family teased my brother about the ‘monster trying to catch him’. He himself laughed loudly now he recalled the funny episode.  We enjoyed ourselves very much at the beach. I will always remember the wonderful time for the rest of my life.

(sorry because this story might soound childish to you, but i have no idea to do anything)

Honesty Always Brings Good Luck

There was once a rich and kindly old man who, reaching the end of his days, decided to leave his possessions to an honest and intelligent young man. Speaking of this decision, he told a good friend of his that he wanted to choose wisely. The friend advised him,

“The next time you sell something, and are giving the customer their change, make sure you give them too much. The customer who returns the extra money to you, you will know that they are honest”.

The rich man thanked his friend for the advice, and thinking it a good idea, and easy to carry out, he decided to give it a try.

What he did not know was this. One of those presence during the conversation – a neighbour who pretended to be his friend, but was really very envious of the rich old man – hired the services of a wizard. He paid the wizard to cast a spell on the rich old man’s coins. The spell would mean that anyone who saw coins touched by the old man, rather than seeing them as coins, would see them as that which the customer wanted most in the world.

With this plan, the envious neighbour believed that no customer would return the old man’s change, and, having no one to leave his money to, the old man would leave it all to the neighbour’s young nephew.

Indeed, everything went according to plan for the greedy neighbour, and not a single customer was able to return the enchanted coins. Some saw in these coins the biggest diamond or precious stone, others saw a work of art, some saw a relic, and some saw a miraculous healing potion. When the old man had almost given up trying to find an honest person, the greedy neighbour sent his nephew to the old man’s business, taking great care to instruct the boy to return the old man’s money. The nephew was determined to do so, but on receiving the enchanted coins he saw in them all the possessions and honours of his own uncle. Believing that what his uncle had told him was a trick, he left with his useless coins and his greed, to no end, since when his uncle learned of this betrayal, he made his nephew banish forever.

The rich old man, sick and depressed, decided to call his servants before he died. He gave them some possessions so that they could live freely when he was no longer with them. Among these servants was a youth, who received some portion of this money by mistake. The youth, raised in the house of the wise and just old man, who he loved like a father, saw, in place of the money, a powerful medicine which would cure the old man, since this was truly what he most wanted in the world. On seeing this, the youth offered the money back to the old man, saying “Take this, Sir, it’s for you; it will make you feel better.”

And the return of that simple coin indeed acted like the most miraculous of cures. The old man leapt with joy at having finally found an honest person, and it filled his heart with joy to find that this honest person had always been in his very own house.

And so, the young servant went on to manage, with generosity and honesty, all the old man’s possessions and business concerns. And the old man went on to accompany and advise him like a son for many more years.

The Mysterious Shadow

Last cool Saturday night, I woke up from my slumber with a jump. I thought I heard a strange noise. The mysterious noise was loud. I looked all around me with wary eyes. After a few seconds, I was ready to think that I had imagined the noise.

Suddenly, out of the corner of my eyes, a creepy shadow was seen at the corner of my spacious room. It was a tall creature with long, unkempt hair. The creature looked like it was wearing a flowing white dress. Ahhh! I was nearly half-dead with fright. My mouth was wide opened like I was screaming at the top of my lungs, but not even a squeak came out of my mouth.  My entire body shivered. I prayed that no harm will come to me.

After a few minutes of hesitation, I braced myself to switch on my bedside lamp. I closed my eyes tightly, as the light illuminated my room. What? I thought to myself when I heard a familiar cough. Oh gosh! I gasped as I realized that the shadow was actually my older sister the moment I opened my eyes. I had totally forgotten that she was sleeping in my room.

My older sister, Wani, told me she had just gone to the toilet, which made the weird noise. The toilet was a few steps away from my room so it was easy for me to hear the noise.

I told Wani what I thought when I saw her shadow with a face as red as a tomato. She and I shared a good laugh before returning to our beds. We slept peacefully for the rest of the night with a smile planted on our lips.

Sweet Chocolate Story :)

Suzzana Hardy was a very greedy little girl. She hardly had any friends because she thought it was much more fun to spend her time alone, eating cakes and pudding. Her parents were worried, so they took all the sweet food in the house and hid them.
So Suzzana left the house, desperately looking for something sweet to eat. On she went, until she ended up in a small abandoned hut full of old pots and glasses of all shapes and sizes. Out of all of them, the one that most caught Suzzana's attention was a shiny little bottle made of gold-coloured glass. It seemed to be full of chocolate, and Suzzana took a quick swig. It was delicious, but she felt a strange tickling sensation, so she read the label. "Glass Tears", it said, and in small print it explained: "Magically converts tears into chocolate."
Wow, was Suzzana excited! She ran everywhere looking for someone who was crying, and she came upon a little girl who was weeping disconsolately. Sure enough, her tears were converted into chocolate, and as they ran down her cheeks, to her mouth, they sweetened her lips. That soon stopped her crying. Suzzana and the girl spent a fun time together, tasting the delicious tears, and they parted as friends.
Something similar happened with a woman who had dropped some plates, and with an old man who couldn't find his walking stick. The appearance of Suzzana and the chocolate tears cheered up those sad faces, helping them smile once again.
Soon Suzzana realised that cheering people up was much more valuable even than chocolate. Her mad search for sweet food stopped, and her search became one for sad people who she could try to help.

And from those sweet encounters came a mountain of friends that filled her life with meaning and happiness.

The Grand Storm

Ooh! The storm roars aloud,

I am a friendly toad,
